For this project, I had to design a chair made completely out of cardboard, dowels, and hot glue. I was not allowed to make any joints other than butt joints. The chair also had to hold the weight of my professor. The second prototype I made was successful in holding up my professor, but when I reworked it for the final, a few of the dowels on the seat surface broke. If I had added more dowels to that area and placed them closer together, I believe the final would have worked.
